There's an abundance of things to do for the outdoor enthusists. Hiking, Fishing, Clamming & Crabbing along with horseback riding and Golf are found nearby. A good spot for Agate hunting is Strawberry Hill which is about 3-4 miles south of Yachats.

Local attractions include nearby Sea Lions Cave which is open every day of the year except Christmas. The caves are a huge sea grotto and the only mainland home for wild sea lions in North America. Located at the base of a 325 foot headland, you descend, via an elevator, 200 feet to view, hear, and smell hundreds of sea lions.
